Athletes from across the Visayas region are expected to converge in Dumaguete City from September 10 to 16 for the regional qualifying leg of the 2017 Batang Pinoy.
Dumaguete City Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo assured Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chief of staff Ronnel Abrenica the city is ready to fulfill hosting obligations.
The event looks to widen the base of potential athletes for future national and international sports competitions.
The PSC also encourages local government executives and the Department of Education to invest in developing sports./WDJ
