The Iloilo City government and the City Health Office (CHO) will reactive the Task Force on Dengue, which will conduct daily clean-up in all of the city’s 180 barangays.
“The task force will spearhead cleanup drive every day,” said CHO assistant chief, Dr. Mae Delmo.
She went on to explain barangay captains would be responsible for their respective jurisdictions, with the assistance of the barangay council committee on health chair, barangay health workers, and volunteers.
The CHO official also pointed out, the clean-up should not be limited to the task force.
“Everybody should clean their surroundings,” she said.
CHO advised the public to immediately seek doctor’s consultation if they have high fever which lasts for one to two days./WDJ
