The San Carlos City Police hauled nearly P1.6 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested a street level drug target following a buy-bust operation along Gustilo Street, Barangay 5, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, Monday.
Police identified the suspect as 43-year-old Corsiden Abie, a resident of V. Gustilo Street, in the said barangay, and a native of Lanao del Sur.
San Carlos City police chief, Police Superintendent Arturo Fullero, said Abie is a newly identified street level pusher in the city and has been in Negros Occidental for more than two years.
Abie was on his way to distribute drugs in Toboso, during the town’s fiesta, when he conducted the transaction with an undercover cop.
Police moved in on Abie after handing over one sachet of suspected shabu worth P1,200.
Fullero added, upon searching the suspect’s tricycle, they discovered two big sachets of suspected shabu under the vehicle’s seat.
He noted, the confiscated substance weighed around 160 grams, with a market value of P1,600,000.
