In the first year of new leadership, many developments have been achieved by the new administration. However, despite efforts being made to put an end the ills of the nation, political circles have never been substantially open to cooperation.
An educator shared his views on why senators are not unanimously behind the president in his drive to minimize the problems of illegal drugs and crime. He asked, are politicians blind to seeing how the menace of illegal drugs is affecting the country?
One political analyst said most citizens are the happiest, with millions finding the new leadership among the best. Only a few thousand are not satisfied with the Mindanaoan leader, he claimed.
What they were enjoying before, they can no longer enjoy the leisure and pleasures anymore under a strict strongman, he added.
The educator added, defeated politicians are so disgruntled because they are no longer in power nor have access to wealth. The prior administration was so lenient with grabbing taxpayer money for personal use, according to him, those happy days are over.
The analyst believes the same, noting, those who lost in the last election are no longer able to enjoy the luxuries of political leadership anymore and have gone into fake hiding. However, they may be behind the creation of a bad image for the nation; adding, there is no more strong imperial Manila. The new president appointed his own trusted men, mostly from the south; unlike the past four administrations, who just juggled political supporters.
Today, it is a complete change of “tradition,” he added.
The pastor thinks the nation will never grow nor develop because of politicians. He believes they are “the same faggots” and their greed for self-satisfaction is first on their list of priorities.
“Politicians want the nation to remain poor so they can be in control,” he said.
Millions are also amused at the idea that the opposition wishes to impeach the president. Would his successor be a better option, the pastor asked. Perhaps its because those who are pushing for impeachment can twist the neck and swing the mind of the successor, who is not as firm nor ready to be a leader, the pastor stated.
Surely, that was the motive during the previous administration, the educator asserted.
There were no scandalous calls for impeachment during the preceding administration because everyone in those circles were enjoying the benefits, the political analyst explained. Today, those personalities now fear the possibility of being called to explain previous acts they have committed.

Davao City residents were all against it, at first, but they later realized the good in the policy. Families were happier, it benefited the environment, and health was an easier matter to deal with. It was only the tobacco oligarchs who were frowning – coffee drinkers smiled.
