Bacolod City Councilor Caesar Distrito submitted a resolution last week endorsing the construction of a plastic recycling facility in Bacolod City.
In a message sent by Distrito to Watchmen Daily Journal, the city councilor said the resolution requests the Bureau of Soil and Water Management (BSWM), a division of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), to construct the said facility.
He noted, the proposal was passed on to Senator Cynthia Villar during a recent visit to the city.
“It is the DENR that will provide the facility to the city once it is approved,” Distrito added./WDJ
