Ceres-Negros FC midfielder Jeffrey Christiaens and Global Cebu FC winger Hikaru Minegishi both suffered injuries during the Philippine national team’s recent 8-1 defeat to China, ruling them both out of tomorrow’s AFC Asian Cup qualifier against Tajikistan at the Central Republican Stadium in Dushanbe.
They have since been replaced by Stallion Laguna striker Ruben Doctora, Jr., a native of Barotac Nuevo in Iloillo, and Dennis Villanueva of Global Cebu FC.
Among the remaining Ceres players on the squad include defender Luke Woodland; and midfielders Kevin Ingreso, Junior Muñoz, Manuel Ott, and Iain Ramsay./WDJ
