Sharyn’s Cansi House, located in the Capitol Shopping Center, was recently recognized by the World Street Food Congress (WSFC) as one of the best street foods in the world.
In a radio interview yesterday, Delia Perez, owner of the restaurant, said they have been in the business since 1985, having originally started as a clothes shop before switching to the food business.
She said the business sells over 100 kilos of beef a day, noting they do not have a specific recipe for the dish.
Cansi is a local beef soup, considered a cross between other famous Filipino dishes sinigang and bulalo.
It is also recognized as a traditional comfort food for Ilonggos./WDJ
