A car owned by a businesswoman visiting the city was allegedly hit by the infamous ‘bukas kotse’ gang along Gatuslao Street, Bacolod City, Tuesday afternoon.
Police identified the victim as 39-year-old Genalyn Dela Peña, a resident of Roxas City, Capiz.
In a report by Police Station 1 (PS1) lead investigator, Police Officer 2 (PO2) Marjochris Ebuen, Dela Peña was returning to her car and discovered one of the passenger windows was broken.
Evidence suggests one of the unidentified suspects may have used a metal rod, or hard object, to pry open a small portion of the window, which resulted in the damage.
The thieves managed to cart away several grocery items, footwear, and a mobile phone charger, with an overall value of P10,890.
Police are still looking into the identities of the suspects./WDJ
