The Bago City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (DRRMC) and the Barangay Poblacion DRRM Committee each took second place at the recent 18th Gawad Kalasag: Search for Excellence in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management and Humanitarian Assistance national search.
Present during the awarding ceremony were Bago City Vice Mayor Ramon D. Torres; Sangguniang Panlungsod members Jom Somcio, Joy Matti, Cleo Gaudite, and Dan Famoso; Office of Civil Defence-NIR OIC Ma. Aletha Nogra; Bago City DRRM staff Myla Millevo; and DRRM Action Officer, Dr. Merijene Ortizo.
Bago City Mayor Nicholas Yulo congratulated the men and women behind the Bago City DRRMC.
“All you hard work has paid off,” the mayor said.
