The Bacolod City Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) passed a resolution yesterday giving the Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Ceneco) 30 days to fix, remove, or relocate a broken down electrical post along Burgos Street Extension, Barangay Estefania.
In an e-mailed copy of the resolution sent by Councilor Caesar Distrito, the resolution states it is the duty of the city government to ensure safety.
He said the broken down electric post endangers the safety of passing motorists and pedestrians.
Distrito added, it is the responsibility of Ceneco to conduct an immediate inspection and repair of the post and to relocate it to a safer area, as the said pole is also affected by a recent road widening project in the area./WDJ
