The Bacolod City Water District (Baciwa) warns consumers there are unscrupulous individuals posing as Baciwa personnel, pretending to inspect water connection or conducting maintenance works.
They use this ploy to gain entry to your household/property.
For safety purposes, Baciwa is providing some important reminders:
Baciwa has no field inspectors assigned to collect payment for water bills or any fees, payments should only be made at the Baciwa office, the SM Department Store, or any authorized collecting banks, listed on the back of the water bill for current accounts.
Be sure Baciwa personnel who visit to conduct inspection or any regular maintenance work is wearing an ID with the Baciwa logo, or ask for proper identification before allowing them entry to your home.
If you have doubts, please call 433-4601, 433-4602, or 433-2141.
Until you are sure of the identity of the Baciwa personnel, you should not allow them to enter your house, (PR)
