P400M allocated for road rehabilitation in Iloilo

The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) allocated P413.8 million for road rehabilitation in Iloilo province.
Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. said the P413.8 million covers the rehabilitation of over 30 kilometers of provincial roads.
Speaking at the Iloilo Provincial Development Council meeting, Defensor said the DILG endorsed the release of the funding for the agency’s conditional matching grant to provinces (CMGP) program to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
Of the four projects, the Cabugao-Banban-Toyungan road in Calinog has the largest allocation with P165.8 million.
Other projects include the Mina-Talibong-Yugot-Nabitasan-Naslo Road in Mina and Pototan, which will receive an allocation of P121.8 million; the Carles Poblacion-Bancal/Abong-Tarong road in Carles will receive P82.5 million, and the Batad-Embarkadero road in Batad will receive P43.6 million.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) of Department of Agriculture and the World Bank is currently undertaking a P101.5-million rehabilitation of a farm-to-market road in Dueñas town./WDJ
