Raymnd Dela Peña of Bacolod City recently won the open category of the 2017 Mansilingan Charter Day Chess Tournament at the Mansilingan Chess Society (ManChess) Club.
He defeated National Master (NM) Edwin Tan, with Roming Sadia III of Escalante City taking third place.
The 12-and-Under division, won by Erich Singson of La Castellana, concluded over the weekend.
All winners received their respective cash prizes, trophies, medals, and certificates./WDJ
