According to Iloilo Provincial Planning and Development Office chief Mario Nillos, the Iloilo Provincial Development Council is eyeing P7.2 billion for its 2018 Annual Investment Program (AIP).
More than half, P3.8 billion is being considered for social services, with another P2.1 billion for economic services.
On top of their priority programs are the redevelopment of the Iloilo Capitol complex, where a park will be built, alongside infrastructure projects and the continuous improvements of district hospitals.
The proposed P7.2 billion was initially deliberated last May 30 in a consultative meeting with Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr., Provincial Administrator Raul Banias, Ajuy Mayor Jett Rojas of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP-Iloilo), and key business leaders./WDJ
