Six Ceres-Negros FC players were called up by the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) for the Philippine national football team’s upcoming AFC Asian Cup qualifier match against Tajikistan, set to take place on June 13 at the Pamir Stadium in Dushanbe.
Defenders Jeffrey Christiaens and Luke Woodland; alongside midfielders Kevin Ingreso, Junior Muñoz, Manuel Ott, and Iain Ramsay, were called up to join the squad.
Prior to the match, the national team, the Azkals, will meet the Chinese national team in a friendly on June 7 in Guangzhou.
The Philippines and Yemen currently sit atop Group F with one win. The Azkals beat Nepal, 4-1, towards the end of March of this year./WDJ
