Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE) Master Sander Severino of Silay City and International Master (IM) Joel Pimentel of Bacolod City continue to lead the ongoing 2017 Negros Closed Chess Tournament at the District North Point in Talisay City after notching wins in Round 4.
Pimentel defeated Jerich Cajeras, while Severino won over Ellan Asuela.
Other Round 4 results include Ted Ian Montoyo beating National Master (NM) Rolando Andador and Danny Mangao defeating PO3 Ernie Abanco./WDJ
