The lifeless remains of a man were found in a sugarcane field at Sitio Kamalarang, Barangay Galicia, Ilog, Negros Occidental, Saturday morning.
Police have yet to identify the person, although they estimate the age of the individual to be between 22 and 28 years old and reportedly a resident of nearby Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
Ilog Municipal Police Station reported the victim was found by local residents around 4:00 a.m. with two stab wounds to his chest.
Cops searched the area and recovered a kitchen knife, measuring eight inches from tip to handle, and a disposable lighter.
They added, the victim is suspected to have a height between 5’ and 5’2” and was wearing a yellow t-shirt.
Ilog police are currently looking into the identities of the found remains, as well as the assailant./WDJ
