Local taekwondo athlete named Palarong Pambansa ‘best player’

Taekwondo athlete Jamie Hannah Agaloos of Tangub Christian Academy, who represented the Negros Island Region (NIR) at the recent Palarong Pambansa in Antique, was awarded ‘best player’ after winning two gold medals and one silver medal.

Taekwondo athlete Jamie Hannah Agaloos of Tangub Christian Academy, who represented the Negros Island Region (NIR) at the recent Palarong Pambansa in Antique, was awarded ‘best player’ after winning two gold medals and one silver medal.
Agaloos took gold in the Poomsae (Individual A) and 128-136 cm categories, while taking silver teamed up with Arielle Aimee Beronio and Mary Angeline Alcantara.
Agaloos trained with the Negros Taekwondo Union (NTU) Tigers, under Crystal Pauline Reyes and Jean Pierre Sabido.
Meanwhile, Beronio, of Valladolid Elementary School, also earned a gold medal in the 128-136 cm category, while Alcantara, of St. Scholastica’s Academy, took gold in the 152-160cm category./WDJ
