Erich Singson of La Castellana won the 12-and-Under Mansilingan Charter Day Chess Tournament over the weekend at the Mansilingan Chess Society (ManChess) Club.
Eliza Mae Toremoro of Talisay City took second place, followed by Lawrence Donguines of Mansilingan.
ManChess President, Engr. Nestor Cena, said the club aims to develop the skills through monthly tournaments.
“We are trying to nurture their skills and hopefully we can help them in their studies through college athletic scholarships,” he explained.
