Bago City, in partnership with La Consolacion College-Bacolod (LCC) School of Architecture, Fine Arts, and Design, awarded cash prizes to the winners of a contest searching for a prospective master plan and architectural design for the city’s Bantayan Park.
The contest was open to LCC students.
Group 1, composed of Maiian delos Reyes, Aura Danielle Analucas, Justin Anne Javier, Angelica Pelagio, Veronica Dubouzet, and Ana Beatrice Lopez, won the contest and were awarded P40,000. Group 2, composed of Bernadette Parcon, Carmelle Demigilio, Catherine Enriquez, Angel Andrada, Kimverlie Valente, Marbelyn Parcon, and Paula Mulle, took second place and won P25, 000.
Bago City Mayor Nicholas Yulo submitted groups’ designs, adding, with the new developments at Bantayan Park, the city is encouraging private sector participation by providing areas for tourism related businesses./WDJ
