Victorias City Mayor Frederick Palanca recently staged an inter-barangay boxing tournament in the city’s Barangay 17, which, according to City Sports Coordinator Francis Paranpan, the program does not only focused on identifying talent and developing boxers but also allows coaches and trainers to use what they have learned from various seminars and trainings.
The program also intends to help the city in its fight against drugs and to promote youth development.
Paranpan added, during their charter day observance, they also held a boxing event as a qualifier for the Panaad Boxing Tournament, where the city finished in second place./WDJ
