After sweeping their opponents in the semifinals, Barangays Villamonte and Singcang will meet in the Best-of-3 finals series of the 1st Congressman Greg Gasataya Basketball League, with Game 1 set to take place tomorrow at the STI-West Negros University gym.
Villamonte defeated Sum-ag, while Singcang eliminated Banago.
In their final game, Sum-ag took an early 28-24 lead over the eventual winners, with Villamonte slowly closing the gap, brought their deficit down to 48-46 at the half.
Villamonte went on a 26-20 run in the third, aided by 11 points from Mark dela Cruz.
They went on to win, 92-87, with Dela Cruz scoring a big 38 points, followed by Jeric Adorio with 18 and Reymark Cadagat adding 10.
In the other game, Singcang beat Banago, 78-71./WDJ
