A senior citizen was killed after his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a truck along the national highway in Barangay Taloc, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the fatality as 63-year-old Edgardo Pabalinas, a resident of Barangay Abuanan in the said city.
Bago City police traffic investigator, Senior Police Office 1 (SPO1) Raul Guavez, said Pabalinas was traveling south, when his motorcycle was bumped at the rear by an Isuzu cargo truck driven by 33-year-old Albert Quilantang.
Pabalinas lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into the pavement head first.
Locals rushed the victim to the Bago City District Hospital for treatment, but he was declared dead on arrival by medical staff.
Quilantang, meanwhile, surrendered to police after the accident and could face charges of vehicular manslaughter./WDJ
