Hong Kong businessmen looking to invest in Iloilo

The Philippine Association of Hong Kong (PAHK) recently facilitated a business mission in Iloilo for a group of businessmen from Hong Kong where investors observed “potential” for the area in business process outsourcing (BPO) and tourism.
According to PAHK chairman Rex Aguado, the investors are looking to establish BPOs in order to offer online English tutors for Chinese students.
Meanwhile, Vincent Hon of Hong Kong Hainan Commercial Association said they are interested in “social enterprises;” and Hong Kong Economic and Trade Association founding Vice President, Prof. Danny Chau, called Iloilo a “good hub for student exchange” and, noted, Ilonggo businessmen can also explore trade ties in Hong Kong.
Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog and Ritchel Gavan of the Iloilo City Promotions Office presented investment portfolio for services, manufacturing, agri-business, arts and culture; research, and technology./WDJ
