Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) acting director Police Senior Supt. Jack Wanky said yesterday they have positively identified five druglords allegedly operating in Bacolod City.
Wanky identified the five individuals as Nolito Cuadra, Dindo Varcillo, Ramy Poja, Berya Tolentino, and Mohammed Camaria.
Both Tolentino and Camaria were previously identified by former Berya drug group member Ricky Serenio as the main supplier of drugs not only in Bacolod City, but in the entire province of Negros Occidental.
The city police chief said he decided to go public with the list as they were named based on intelligence reports they gathered from drug surrenderees, arrested dealers and pushers, and from Serenio himself.
“This is a product of our intelligence effort, and we are now finding a way to find hard evidence against these individuals,” Wanky said.
He further added, Poja and Tolentino have existing arrest warrants under the BCPO, although he did not specify their charges.
Wanky also stated he is scheduled to brief newly-appointed Police Regional Office-18 (PRO-18) Director Police Chief Supt. Edmund Gonzales next week./WDJ
