Aeron Keife Sinining scored 6.5 points in a 7-round event to win the title of the High Octane Distribution Inc. 16&Under Mixed Chess Championships held in Talisay City.
Sara Francine Olendo settled for second with 6.0 points while Clark Ken Pelione finished third with 5.5 points (32.0 BH). They are followed by Shieldon Coleta (5.5 pts, 31.5 BH), Jamon Cajeras (5.5 pts., 31.5 BH), and Christian Pelione (5.5 pts., 26.0 BH).
Completing the Top 10 are Cedrick Deniel Ignacio, John Lawrence Donguines, Kenneth Ballo-allo, and Natori Biazza Diaz.
Jamelin Ruth Lim was named best female performer; Alfonso Louis Olendo – best 14&Under; Tyrone Dale Yao – best 12&Under; Dianne Joyce Esona – best 10&Under; and Aira Dagumpanan – best 8&Under./WDJ
