The newly-installed chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Western Visayas vowed there will be no reshuffling of key officials.
Chief Supt. Cesar Hawthorne Binag, director of Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6), said he is not keen in making changes to leadership of units under his watch.
Binag said he is focused on grooming the existing top cops in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, and Iloilo provinces.
Binag emphasized, in cases of change in leadership, it is not him alone that decides.
“I and the governors can recommend. But it (the decision) comes from the PNP national headquarters in Camp Crame,” Binag added.
Aside from continuing the war on drugs, Binag vowed to prioritize internal cleansing and address the concerns of non-commissioned officers./WDJ
