It will be a tough test for Philippines’ Ceres Negros FC when it challenges erstwhile AFC Cup champions Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) of Malaysia tonight in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup ASEAN Zonal semifinals leg 1 at the Tan Sri Dato Haji Hassan Yunos Stadium in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
Facing an experienced Malaysian side will test the Bacolod-based club’s determination on how far they will go in this tournament. Riding on their superb performances during the group stage, the Busmen are expected to push their game harder as they play before the projected 10,000 to 11,000 Malaysian fans.
Organized in 2012, this is Ceres FC’s highest achievement in international tournament as they look forward to advance their dream to be among Asia’s bests./WDJ
