Three people, including a top drug personality in the town of Pontevedra, were arrested by joint elements of Pontevedra Police and operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Negros Island Region (PDEA-NIR) following a drug bust operation in Barangay 2 of the town, yesterday afternoon.
Police identified the suspects as 35-year-old Mark Gayoba, a top six drug personality in Pontevedra; Wendy Meana, 36; and Joeme Sarasa, 36.
Pontevedra police said their main target was Gayoba, but they also stumbled upon Meana and Sarasa who were also inside the suspect’s residence at the time of the raid.
Operatives recovered four small sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, and several utensils used for the repacking of the illicit substance.
All three face illegal drugs charges and are detained at the Pontevedra Municipal Police Station./WDJ
