A man was killed on the spot after he was allegedly shot, stabbed, and hacked by his two neighbors at Hacienda Rosario Sur Relocation Site, Brgy. Granada, Bacolod City, yesterday afternoon.
Police identified the fatality as 28-year-old Julius Medel, a resident of Purok Pinaya-on in the said barangay.
Police Station 5 (PS5) commander Police Chief Insp. Sherlock Gabana said Medel got into an argument with the suspects identified as Ian Canoy and his brother Robiner Canoy.
Gabana said the argument was due to Medel accidentally hitting Ian’s carabao.
As both sides were arguing at one another, Robiner arrived carrying an improvised shotgun and shot Medel.
Both suspects then proceeded on stabbing and hacking the victim, before fleeing the crime scene.
A follow-up operation later resulted in the arrest of Ian, while police are still looking for Robiner./WDJ
