A resident of Cauayan, Negros Occidental was held-up and gunned down by three suspects, including a former member of the Philippine Army, at Sitio Calapnisan, Barangay Inayawan of the said town, Sunday.
Police identified the fatality as 30-year-old Reynaldo Albaña, a resident of the said barangay.
Cauayan town police chief, Police Chief Insp. Ruben Pajarito, said the victim was walking along with his 77-year-old mother, Rosalinda, when they were allegedly held-up by three suspects, identified as 32-year-old Bobby Castro, Ramon Gonzales, and Brando Arteo.
When Albaña refused to give up his cash amounting to P18,000, he was allegedly shot by the suspects using .45 caliber and 9mm pistols.
