JSY Transport defeated Silver Dragon Transport in their rubber match, 88-73, to advance into the finals of the FilSino-All Asian Countertrade basketball tournament played at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School gym.
JSY took control of the opening period behind Yanyan Dy and Nico Lopingco’s combined explosion of 25 points.
Arnold Laureño led JSY’s balanced scoring in the second with 7 points for a 49-35 halftime lead, while Silver Dragon continued to struggle offensively.
Silver Dragons had a hard time in the second half as JSY Transport took full advantage of the earned momentum.
Dy and Lopingco anchored JSY Transport with 19 and 16 points, respectively, and Arvin Gustilo added 13 markers.
Meanwhile, cousins Brian and Luigi Coo carried Silver Dragon Transport with 15 and 13 points respectively, but failed to get ample scoring support from the rest of their team./WDJ
