The Singapore-bound Domingo Lacson National High School softbelles and Cadiz Sluggers will square off today for the solo lead in Group A of the Negros First Governor Alfredo Marañon Inter-Hacienda Softball League at the Hda. Lourdes Ballpark in Manapla.
The Lacsonians, who will be representing the Philippines in the Asia-Pacific Softball Regional Tournament next month, will face Cadiz Sluggers at 1 PM. The Lacsonians won their initial win in the tournament on a 5-2 triumph over host-Hda. Lourdes in the opening day, while Sluggers defeated Pta. Salong, 5-2.
Hda. Cuaycong also aims to take the top spot in Group B when they face Hda. Nahulog at 3 PM. Cuaycong won their first game against Hda. Guinolayan via regulation after 6th innings, 15-8.
Tomorrow, Hda. Laguda and Hda. Guinolayan will fight for their first win in the tournament at 9:30 AM, while Dos Hermanos and Burgos will try to nail their second victory and possibly share the lead in Group B. Dos Hermanos scored a 13-5 win over Guinolayan in their initial game while Burgos got an impressive 13-6 win over Laguda in the opener.
Completing tomorrow’s schedule is the match between Pta. Salong and host-Lourdes at 3 PM./WDJ
