Farm foreman gunned down in Bago

A foreman for a sugar farm was killed while a minor was seriously injured after they were shot by a farm worker in Barangay Tabunan, Bago City, Tuesday evening.
Police identified the fatality as 36-year-old Harry Rivera, a resident of Barangay Handumanan, Bacolod City, while police withheld the identity of the minor.
An official report released by Bago police said a commotion transpired between Rivera and the suspect identified as Ariel Balgona inside a house owned by the victim’s father-in-law.
Balgona allegedly shot Rivera three times with an improvised 12-gauge shotgun killing him on the spot while the minor was hit by a stray bullet on her head while she was sleeping in another room.
Local residents rushed the minor to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) following the incident.
Bago police stressed they have yet to determine the motive behind the crime as the witnesses in the area are hesitant on giving information to them.
They also confirmed a manhunt operation is underway against Balgona./WDJ
