A father and daughter died from typhoid fever in Passi City, Iloilo province.
Iloilo Provincial Health Office (IPHO) confirmed that the 47-year-old male and 21-year-old female were among the five confirmed cases from Brgy. Tubod.
Dr. Patricia Grace Trabaho, provincial health chief, said the remaining three cases are currently admitted at Don Valerio Palmares Memorial District Hospital in the same city.
Based on investigation, the victims fell ill from contaminated water wells, which are connected to several households by pipes. The water wells were left uncovered and may have been contaminated by a nearby septic tank./WDJ
