A security guard was killed on the spot after crashing his motorcycle at the national highway, part of Barangay Zone 15, Talisay City, Negros Occidental, yesterday afternoon.
Police identified the fatality as 42-year-old Hernando Pelecio Tinogan, a security guard for Habagat Security Services.
Traffic investigators from Talisay City Police Station said Tinogan was traveling north at high speed at the time of the incident.
Tinogan allegedly tried to overtake another vehicle, but he failed to notice the curved road in the area, which ultimately resulted to the crash.
Talisay police also added, even though Tinogan was wearing a crash helmet, it still did not protect him as he had a fatal head wound.
Police are still continuing their investigation on the accident./WDJ
