A trainee of the Philippine National Police (PNP) will be dismissed for alleged extortion activities.
Supt. Gilbert Gorero, spokesman of Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6), said dismissal procedures are being readied against police trainee Glenn Garbosa who was arrested last May 4 in an entrapment operation by the Iloilo City Police Office-Station 3.
Retired teacher Rey Fajutrao complained to cops that Garbosa demanded money from him several times while threatening to have him arrested for allegedly having a firearm with an expired license.
Recovered from Garbosa were a pistol, a PNP badge, and a PNP trainee’s ID.
“Police trainees are not given service firearms because they are not allowed to carry these,” Gorero said./WDJ
