Following a two-year title bout hiatus, Genesis ‘Azukal’ Servania of Bacolod City won the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Asia-Pacific featherweight championship, defeating fellow Pinoy boxer Ralph Jhon ‘Bomber’ Lulu in two rounds at the Ishikawa Sangyo Hall in Kanazawa, Japan, over the weekend.
“I’m happy that I was given the opportunity again to fight in the championship,” Servania told Watchmen Daily Journal. “It’s been a while since my last title fight.”
He added another title fight may be forthcoming.
“I don’t really know about the details yet,” the Bacolod City boxer explained. “I’m just waiting for the decision [by management].”/WDJ
