A suspected drug personality was arrested after allegedly trying to evade arrest, following law enforcement officers serving him an arrest warrant in Barangay Calasga-an, Bais City, Negros Oriental, Wednesday afternoon.
Police identified the suspect as 34-year-old Ramil Banogon, a resident of Barangay Santa Cruz Viejo, Tanjay City, Negros Oriental.
A report from Bais police said Banogon has a warrant on drug-related charges.
A road pursuit took place until Banogon was cornered in the town of Amlan, resulting in his arrest.
A search of the suspect yielded one big sachet of suspected shabu.
Banogon potentially faces additional drug charges, and is detained at the Bais City Police Station./ WDJ
