Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. recently revealed he has already made his selection for the next Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) director, but refused to reveal his pick.
Police Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil, Jr. is the current acting NOPPO director, taking over for Police Senior Superintendent William Señoron earlier this month, who was dismissed on alleged links to illegal drugs.
It was previously reported, Police Regional Office-18 (PRO-18) director, Police Chief Superintendent Renato Gumban, said, while Castil is a consideration for a permanent post, national headquarters also recommended three other possible replacements.
Meanwhile, Señoron has denied all accusations, adding he would kill himself in front of the regional police office if the allegations are proven true./WDJ
