A 32-year-old man was shot dead while walking at Sitio Patol, Barangay Caliling, Cauayan, Negros Occidental, Wednesday.
Police identified the fatality as Pablito Ravina, a resident of the said barangay.
Cauayan Municipal Police Station chief, Police Chief Inspector Ruben Pajarito, said Ravina was reportedly only strolling through the area during his death, however, an investigation is still underway as there were no witnesses to the crime.
Pajarito said, when they spoke with Ravina’s family, they claimed the victim was receiving threats, but could not provide any reasons as to why.
Police recovered a .45 caliber pistol and two .45 caliber bullets in the crime scene.
Cauayan police are still trying to determine the identities of the gunmen./ WDJ
