Around P312,700 worth of personal items and cash were allegedly stolen from a house owned by a city employee at the Charito Heights Subdivision, Barangay Granada, Bacolod City, Thursday.
Police identified the victim as 52-year-old Mary Ann Requiron, a resident of the said barangay.
Police Station 5 (PS5) commander, Police Chief Inspector Sherlock Gabana, said they are still conducting an investigation into the alleged robbery incident and trying to identify the suspects.
Gabana said, based on their initial investigation, nobody reported a robbery nor witnessed any suspicious-looking people in the area.
He said, as of now, they are determining if the incident was really a robbery.
Based on allegations by the victim, she discovered two watches, worth P 10,000; a gold necklace with mermaid pendant, worth P 7,700; gold earrings, worth P 3,000; a gold pendant with pearl, worth P 8,000; a gold necklace with heart pendant, worth P 5,000; and cash amounting to P279,000 are all missing.
Gabana said the victim alleged the unidentified suspect gained entry by forcibly destroying the gate’s padlock, sawing the grills of the window, and detaching the window slats./WDJ
