After Task Force Crusaders (TFC) deputy national commander John Chiong presented evidence earlier this month of illegal gambling in Negros Occidental, including betting guides, suspected individuals involved, along with alleged protectors within the Philippine National Police (PNP), Chiong said the PNP confirmed they would be conducting an investigation.
He said the investigating team is expected in the province in seven days.
During a press conference earlier this month, Chiong named a certain Tolikoy, Edgar Mellama, RaymundTongson, DodongClaur, Humphrey Policarpio, and Tuklaw as being involved in local illegal gambling.
Also named was Jesus Clavecillas, also known as JC, who is a suspected bagman for jai alai operations.
Chiong also noted two police officers were also linked as “protectors of illegal gambling.”/WDJ
