Fire razes store in Bacong

A fire reportedly razed a store owned by a senior citizen, yesterday morning, in Barangay Lutao, Bacong, Negros Oriental.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) identified the owner of the store as 63-year-old Evangeline Bacang, a resident of the said barangay.
Based on a preliminary investigation by arson investigators, the victim disclosed, around 1:00 a.m., her daughter-in-law, Facita, heard an explosion coming from their store.
When Facita checked, she discovered the inside was already filled with thick smoke, which forced her and the store owner to evacuate.
Firefighters soon arrived and quelled the blaze.
Arson investigators added they are currently looking at faulty electrical wiring as the cause of the fire.
Damages are estimated at around P50,000./WDJ
