The Negros Island Region (NIR) contingent set to participate in the 2017 National Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA), comprised of 135 student-athletes, coaches and officials, will be leaving today for the competition, scheduled to take place from April 22 to 29 in Zambales at the Zambales Sports Complex.
NIR will be sending athletes to compete in men’s basketball, indoor volleyball, beach volleyball, badminton, women’s table tennis, men’s swimming, and men’s football.
They will also be sending high division athletes to take part in girls’ indoor volleyball, girls’ beach volleyball, girls’ badminton, and athletics.
NIR will also have entries in modern dancesport, solo vocal, duet vocal, and the mutya beauty pageant competitions./WDJ
