Several Bacolod City barangay captains are reportedly urging Abang-Lingkod Party-list Rep. Stephen Paduano to run for city mayor.
According to a recent Aksyon Radyo-Bacolod interview, Paduano said Rep. Alfredo Benitez sat down to a dinner with barangay captains in Metro Manila, where some reportedly voiced their support for the party-list representative’s candidacy for mayor.
However, Paduano said he has yet to speak with Benitez regarding the issue, but said he is not currently considering a mayoral run.
“I’m not ambitious when it comes to politics,” he said.
Nevertheless, he left the option open, saying he would run if Benitez asked him personally and there was support from the public./WDJ
