Tchoukball teams from Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines will compete in the 2017 Philippine Open Tchoukball Invitational at the City Sports Club in Ayala Business Park, Cebu City from April 5 to 7.
Comprising the Philippine delegation are Big City’s Manila Crickets, the Philippine Christian School of Tomorrow (PCST) Royals, Butuan’s Good Shepherd, Ilahas-Bacolod, Cav Butanding-Cebu, and Bunal Cebu.
Taiwan currently tops the world rankings for both men and women’s divisions, while the Philippines ranks number 25 and 21, respectively.
Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Commissioner Ramón Fernández is expected to attend the event, alongside Southeast Asia Tchoukball Federation head and Philippine Tchoukball Federation President Raymund Jamelo./WDJ
