The Central Azucarera de San Antonio Sugar Mill Workers Union Federation in Passi City went on strike yesterday, claiming they have yet to receive certain benefits from management.
According to union president Roberto Otero, more than 100 laborers joined the protest.
He said the union previously sought a resolution through Passi City Mayor Jesry Palmares, but an agreement has yet to be reached.
Otero noted it is still uncertain as to when the strike will end./WDJ
