Bacolod, Iloilo named among the ‘best cities to live in the Philippines’

According to The Conyo Times, a YouTube channel focused on local pop culture, Bacolod City and Iloilo City were named among their “Best Cities to live in the Philippines.”
Bacolod City topped the ranks based on, according to one of the channel’s recent videos, “a rapid growth in tourism and infrastructure over the past few years.”
They also noted, “The thriving economy is also evident with the rise of big infrastructure and housing developments.”
The annual MassKara Festival was also highlighted, calling it “one of the most exciting and colorful festivals in the country.”
In terms of Iloilo City, they called it “The Garden City of the Philippines” and acknowledged the city’s airport being named one of the best in Asia.
The channel also credited the preservation of heritage buildings, including the Calle Real and Molo Mansion.
Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia said the recognition motivates him to set a “certain standard” in trying to promote a culture of excellence.
