The Bacolod City Public Library was recognized as one of the five best-performing public libraries in the country, next to the Davao City Public Library, the Urdaneta City Library, the Cavite Provincial Library, and the Villasis Municipal Library.
A plaque of distinction was received by City Librarian Greta Memoria earlier this month, during the National Conference of Libraries.
Memoria credited “relevant and innovative services” provided by the library.
She added the city library currently offers a digital literacy program which provides basic computer training to senior citizens, out of school youth, vendors, and anybody who would like to learn basic computer training for free.
This is the second time the city library has been given the recognition./WDJ
